02. Search Fund
CPEC had the opportunity to host a workshop focused on entrepreneurship, succession planning in Italian SMEs and the role of Search Funds as innovative investment vehicles.
Key topics included the challenges related to the generational transition of SMEs, the still limited level of financial culture among many Italian businesses and the growing willingness of young professionals to pursue entrepreneurial paths through acquisition entrepreneurship.
A practical overview illustrated how a Search Fund operates, highlighting its potential to foster innovation and continuity within SMEs.

01. Itago SGR
CPEC had the opportunity to host ITAGO SGR S.p.A. in a workshop focused on private equity and investments in Italian SMEs.
Key topics included the core methods used to evaluate companies, the relationship between investors, entrepreneurs and management, and the main financial metrics applied in valuation.
A case study illustrated a private equity investment from entry to exit, with practical calculations of Enterprise Value, Equity Value, IRR and Cash-on-Cash returns.
